Journey Solutions is a partnership of Britain's bus and train operating companies. It aims to improve and promote better integration between transport modes, particularly bus and train services. It has been established and is financed by the six main passenger transport groups in Britain: Arriva; Blazefield/Transdev; First; Go-Ahead; National Express and Stagecoach. Trade bodies the Association of Train Operating Companies and the Confederation of Passenger Transport also support our work.

The British Government, including Transport Scotland, the Welsh Assembly Government and the Commission for Integrated Transport, also show a keen interest in the Journey Solutions partnership initiative.

The Journey Solutions partnership was formed in 1999 so that public transport operators could deliver on their commitment of improving and delivering better integrated transport. In particular making bus and train travel easier, more convenient and better value for money for customers. All Journey Solutions' work aims to support Government policies on improving integrated public transport, social inclusion and environmental responsibility.

The Journey Solutions is managed by Jonathan Radley, the full-time Commercial Director, who is supported by Giles Fearnley, the Chairman. Each of the supporting organisations has a director representative, who sits on the Journey Solutions Partnership Board.  It is this Board that decides strategic direction for the initiative, taking advice, leadership and sharing 'best practice' between each of the supporting organisations. Journey Solutions uses a number of well-respected consultancies to deliver its programme.
